How to use this tracker

Each entry is a phase of the Renters' Rights Act — the reform package overhauling the private rented sector in England. Phases move through consultation, become confirmed, are given a commencement date, and finally come into force. The status badge on each entry reflects where it currently sits.

Entries are added and updated only from verified primary sources such as the Act itself, commencement regulations, Ministerial statements and official Departmental guidance. Bookmark this page — it is the evergreen record you can return to as the Act rolls out.
